About Yuryosai
Yuryosai is a part of Hokudaisai(Hokkaido University Festival) at Hokkaido University.
Hokudaisai is composed of several festivals, such as each department festivals, International Food Festival, and Yuryosai.
Yuryosai is the largest and most popular festival in Hokudaisai, which is organized and run by freshmen students and members of extracurricular groups.
These group of people organize exhibitions, concerts, and other variety of events, also they serve a large variety of food and refreshment booth every year.
Yuryosai was called "Kyoyosai(General Education Festival)" until mid 1990's.
However, after abolition of "Kyoyo-bu(Department of General Education)", sponsor of Kyoyosai, the festival changed its name to "Yuryosai" .
2012 marks the 17th Yuryosai.
